RULES CONCERNING ABSENCE

 Every student should have minimum of 85% attendance for the academic year.

 A student who is late or has been absent on the previous day will not be admitted to class, without the permission of the principal.

 Leave of absence is granted only on the basis of a prior written application from the parents/guardian, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances.

 Leave of absence to attend social functions outside Neemuch District will not be generally granted. Exceptions in case of unforeseen circumstances are given only by the Principal.

 For marriage within the family only one day’s leave is granted as a rule.

 For leave of absence up to 3 days, it is sufficient to apply for the same on the page of the school diary. Class teachers can grant leave up to 2 days if not examination days.

 For leave of absence for more than 3 days, a letter must be sent to the Principal. A note is to be made by the parents/ guardian in the school diary leave record.

 Absence from school for a Test/Examination will not be condoned, except in case of illness. The Principal has to be intimated in writing on the day of missing the examination, and a Medical Certificate will have to be submitted by the ward on joining the School, failing which he or she will be given zero in that particular subject. In medical case, for annual result, average is worked out from whatever Examination is attended by the child. It is mandatory to attend one of the Major examinations ie Mid Term or Annual Examinations.

 Every absence must be entered in brief in the pages of the diary meant for the same.

 Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than a week renders the student liable to have his/her name struck-off the rolls. Re-admission will have to be sought.

 Students are expected to attend class on the first day of the academic year, on the re-opening day after each of the vacations (summer, Dussehra, Diwali and Christmas) and on the closing day before the vacations. Those absent without prior permission will be fined at the rate of Rs. 20/- per day. Those absent because of sickness must intimate the school in writing on the above specified days when they remain absent, and a medical certificate should be submitted on joining the school, failing which they must pay the fine.

 Habitual late comers will be sent home if no improvement noticed after the written warnings through the school diary.

 Separate leave notes should be submitted if a brother and sister are in different classes / sections.

 A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious illness should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him to join class, subject to conditions laid below:

 Students suffering from the following must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:

DiseasesReturning
Chicken Pox:Till scabs are fully fallen and cleared.
Measles:At least 4 days after the disappearance of rash.
Mumps: Approximately 2 weeks (10-14 days) after the onset of swelling of salivary glands.






 Note: Even after a fitness certificate by a Medical Practitioner has been given, if the School medical department feels that the student should be quarantined for another few days on precautionary grounds, the medical department opinion is to be respected by the parents.

The school gives priority in the moulding up honest, responsible and patriotic citizens.
